Juan Mendoza
Title: Student Trustee

My name is Juan Antonio Mendoza. I am blind or Visually Impaired, wear hearing aids, and have diabetes. My major is Social Justice. I am also an undocumented and an immigrant from Mexico. I am currently serving as your Student Trustee, but I am interested in running one last term. I feel honored and humble to be your Student Trustee and representing all students' voices. No matter if you have a Disability, an immigrant, a student of color, a parent student, a LGBTQ student or other, yet all of you matter and all of your voices matter. I will continue to bring more students to the table to be heard. I am also a big advocate for equity and accessibility. I will make sure to create more accessible passes on campus, accessible points in our parking lots, and create more handicap parking. We should not allow vehicles to be park in front of buildings on campus or in front of walls or stairs. Even though they are workers' vehicles, yet let work together to find a way to have them on campus, but not to block accessible pathways on campus. I will advocate to create more handicap parking and put more accessible points on all our remaining parking lots. Also I will advocate for our immigrants to continue having the same opportunities and not to be turned away from our communities. If I get elected again, I will do my best to represent you to the best of my ability and advocate for all students. Advocating for all students is a big opportunity and passion to have because it has allowed me to bring other voices that thought that they would never have their voices being heard. Please vote for me and I will make sure that our campus community continue to be safe, equitable, and accessible for all students. Thank you.
